Caracterización e importancia territorial de los sistemas de producción agrícola en el Municipio de Salvatierra, Guanajuato.

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivos caracterizar los sistemas de producción agrícola a través de variables sociotécnicas; documentar la diversidad de cultivos, mercado y fuente de agua para riego. El trabajo se realizó en dos comunidades del Municipio de Salvatierra, Guanajuato: Puerta del Monte (PM) y Maravatío del Encinal (ME). Se realizaron recorridos de campo, entrevistas a informantes clave y una encuesta a 32 productores de PM y a 61 de ME. El análisis de datos se realizó con estadística descriptiva, cartografía y análisis de conglomerados. En el Distrito y Módulo de riego se Inventarió la diversidad de cultivos presente, conforme a la fuente de abastecimiento de agua. Se identificaron en PM tres grupos de productores, especializados en granos, hortalizas y cultivos diversos, y en ME se identificaron dos grupos, uno dedicado a la producción de granos en dos ciclos de cultivo (PV y OI) y el otro grupo dedicado a un solo cultivo en PV. En PM el uso del suelo es permanente y muy dinámico debido a su cercanía al río Lerma, a la presencia de 20 pozos oficiales, disponibilidad de maquinaría, tierras agrícolas y acceso a créditos. En ME existe una diversificación de cultivos, pero con una menor disponibilidad de agua del Módulo y con 13 pozos oficiales. Esta especialización de productores en el manejo de un cultivo o grupo de cultivos se rige por un mercado a diferentes escalas territoriales Comunidad, Módulo, Distrito de riego, Municipio y Bajío. _______________ DIVERSITY OF CROPS AND PRODUCTIVE SPECIALIZATION IN TWO COMMUNITIES MODULE 02 SALVATIERRA, GUANAJUATO. ABSTRACT: This research was aimed to characterize farming systems and document crops diversity, by socio-technical variables; document crops diversity, markets and water source for irrigation. Field work was carried out in two communities of the Municipality of Salvatierra, Guanajuato: Puerta del Monte (PM) and Maravatío del Encinal (ME). Transect walks, interviews to key informants and a survey to 32 farmers of PM and 61 of ME were conducted. Data analysis was performed with descriptive statistics, cartography and cluster analysis. District and Module of irrigation was inventory the diversity of crops present According to the source of supply of water. In PM three groups of farmers were identified, specialized in grains (cereals), vegetables and diverse crops, and in ME two groups were identified, one dedicated to the production of grains in two growing seasons (PV and OI) and the other group dedicated to a only one growing season PV. In PM the land use is permanent and very dynamic due to its proximity to the river Lerma, the presence of 20 official wells, availability of machinery, agricultural land and access to credits. In ME there is also a diversification of crops, but with a lower availability of water, there are 13 official wells. The production is designated to the local, national and international market. This specialty of products in the management of the crop or groups of crops are divided by one market in different level of territory; community, Module, District, Municipality and Bajío.
