Potencial agroecoturístico de Tepexilotla, Veracruz, México

Abstract

Se determinó el potencial agroecoturístico del agroecosistema Tepexilotla, localidad rural del municipio de Chocamán en el estado de Veracruz, México. Mediante el análisis multidimensional de su capital ambiental, sociocultural, productivo; como recursos endógenos y la valoración turística de los visitantes; como recurso exógeno. Se obtuvo el potencial de Tepexilotla para desarrollar el agroecoturismo, como actividad complementaria para la población, en un entorno de sustentabilidad. Se utilizaron métodos de investigación cualitativos y cuantitativos para analizar los recursos endógenos y exógenos, donde el interés y conocimiento local fueron elementos base para el desarrollo de las diferentes fases de investigación. Los resultados muestran que la localidad posee un alto potencial para desarrollar el agroecoturismo, sobre todo por su capital ambiental, el cual es valorado altamente por los visitantes. También se localiza en un ambiente propicio para el desarrollo de unidades de conservación y restauración de bosque mesófilo de montaña. Así mismo, las iniciativas que se distinguen en la localidad aunados al interés alto por disfrutar de actividades y servicios agroecoturísticos en la localidad, propicia un ambiente óptimo para el desarrollo del agroecoturismo en la localidad. _______________ POTENTIAL AGROECOTOURISM OF TEPEXILOTLA, VERACRUZ, MEXICO. ABSTRACT: The agroecotourism potential of agroecosystem Tepexilotla, rural town in the municipality of Chocamán in the state of Veracruz, Mexico was determined. By multidimensional analysis of environmental, sociocultural, productive capital, as endogenous resources, and tourist assessment of visitors as exogenous resource. Tepexilotla potential was obtained to develop the agroecotourism as a complementary activity to the population, in an environment of sustainability. Qualitative and quantitative methods of research were used to analyze endogenous and exogenous resources, where interest and local knowledge elements were the basis for the development of the different stages of research. The results show that the town has a high potential for developing agroecotourism, especially for its environmental capital, which is highly valued by visitors. Also located in an environment conducive to the development of units of conservation and restoration of cloud forest environment. Likewise, initiatives that are distinguished in the city coupled with the high interest for enjoy agroecotourism activities and services, promotes an optimal environment for the development of agroecotourism in the area.
