Estudio de la infraestructura y organización social para el aprovechamiento del agua de riego en Alpoyeca, Gro

Abstract

El objetivo de la presente investigación fue caracterizar el sistema de riego, así como los factores que inciden en el aprovechamiento racional y sustentable del agua de riego en la comunidad de Alpoyeca. Gro., México. El trabajo se abordó desde las bases teórica-metodológicas de Maass y Anderson (1976) y Hunt (1997). Se concluyó que una buena parte (37.8%) de los usuarios de la infraestructura hidroagrícola señaló que no es adecuada para sus necesidades, mientras que el 40.5% indicó que se necesita usar adecuadamente; lo anterior indica que no se utiliza satisfactoriamente. Además, el 16.2% dijo que los canales no están revestidos, y 27%, que están azolvados o enmontados. Aunque los usuarios están organizados para hacer funcionar la unidad de riego de Alpoyeca, a través de un comisionado, las facultades de éste son limitadas. Del total de los encuestados, el 83.8% son ejidatarios, y 70.3% posee entre 0.60 y 2.00 ha. Los cultivos importantes son los básicos (maíz, frijol, arroz, chile) y le siguen en importancia los frutales (mamey, tamarindo, limón, naranja, mango). El 32.4% de usuarios destinan al mercado la totalidad de su producción y el 27%, la mitad; y la ganancia va del 20% al 50% de la producción. _______________ STUDY OF INFRASTRUCTURE AND SOCIAL ORGANIZATION FOR IRRIGATION WATER USE IN ALPOYECA,GRO. ABSTRACT: The aim of this study was to characterize the irrigation system and the factors that influence the rational and sustainable use of irrigation water in the community of Alpoyeca, Gro., Mexico. This work was focused from theoretical and methodological bases by Maass and Anderson (1976) and Hunt (1997).
